# Sounds True vs FlexBeam

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FlexBeam at 100% against Sounds True's 26%. FlexBeam also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Sounds True's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sounds True sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. FlexBeam asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sounds True holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sounds True has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Sounds True's written reviews are positive against 100% of FlexBeam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sounds True ships an update every 2 months, FlexBeam every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
