# Crypto Magnet vs Chip Rescue

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chip Rescue at none against Crypto Magnet's 4. Chip Rescue also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Crypto Magnet's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crypto Magnet sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Chip Rescue asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Crypto Magnet against 4.0 for Chip Rescue. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Crypto Magnet has 2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Crypto Magnet ships an update monthly, Chip Rescue every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
