# BattleBase vs Death Pitch

The clearest difference is update cadence: Death Pitch at every 3 days against BattleBase's every 6 months. Death Pitch also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (87% vs 75%). BattleBase's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BattleBase sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and Death Pitch sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BattleBase holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 29 and 24 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of BattleBase's written reviews are positive against 87% of Death Pitch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BattleBase ships an update every 6 months, Death Pitch every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
