# Sequence vs Mind Gym

The clearest difference is ads: Sequence at none against Mind Gym's shown. Sequence also leads on ratings volume (14 vs 1). Mind Gym's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 months) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sequence sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Mind Gym sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Sequence against 5.0 for Mind Gym. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sequence has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sequence ships an update every 3 months, Mind Gym every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
