# AI Tutor vs NotesXP

AI Tutor and NotesXP both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of NotesXP's written reviews are positive against 64% of AI Tutor's. AI Tutor's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 53). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Tutor sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and NotesXP sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for AI Tutor against 4.8 for NotesXP. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Tutor has 1.2K ratings behind it against 53, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 64% of AI Tutor's written reviews are positive against 86% of NotesXP's.

AI Tutor ships an update every 8 days, NotesXP every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
