# CIY vs RoadClub

The clearest difference is ads: RoadClub at none against CIY's shown. RoadClub also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 1). CIY's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CIY holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RoadClub has 2.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CIY ships an update every 6 months, RoadClub every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
