# CIY vs Invite

The clearest difference is rating: CIY at 5.0 against Invite's 4.5. CIY also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4). Invite's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (30 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Invite sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. CIY asks for nothing beyond the download.

CIY holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Invite has 30 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CIY ships an update every 6 months, Invite fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
