# Transkriptor vs InClass

The clearest difference is review sentiment: InClass at 100% against Transkriptor's 62%. InClass also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Transkriptor's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Transkriptor sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and InClass sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InClass holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transkriptor has 1.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of Transkriptor's written reviews are positive against 100% of InClass's.

Transkriptor ships an update fortnightly, InClass every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
