# Transkriptor vs Transcribe Private Voice Notes

The clearest difference is rating: Transkriptor at 4.7 against Transcribe Private Voice Notes's 3.0. Transkriptor also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 2) and device support (4 vs 2). Transcribe Private Voice Notes's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 62%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Transkriptor sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Transcribe Private Voice Notes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Transkriptor holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transkriptor has 1.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Transkriptor's written reviews are positive against 100% of Transcribe Private Voice Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Transkriptor ships an update fortnightly, Transcribe Private Voice Notes every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
