# Oceanic+ Scuba Diving Computer vs Oceandex

Oceanic+ Scuba Diving Computer and Oceandex both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 62% of Oceanic+ Scuba Diving Computer's written reviews are positive against 0% of Oceandex's. Oceanic+ Scuba Diving Computer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (4.7K vs 21). Oceandex's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 weeks). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Oceanic+ Scuba Diving Computer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Oceandex asks for nothing beyond the download.

Oceandex holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Oceanic+ Scuba Diving Computer has 4.7K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Oceanic+ Scuba Diving Computer's written reviews are positive against 0% of Oceandex's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Oceanic+ Scuba Diving Computer ships an update every 4 weeks, Oceandex every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
