# NextVPN vs Apps Connect

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Apps Connect at none against NextVPN's 4. Apps Connect also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (4 vs 2). NextVPN's advantage is ratings volume (44K vs 130) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, chart position and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NextVPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days. Apps Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

NextVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NextVPN has 44K ratings behind it against 130, so its average is the more settled of the two.
