# Surf's Up Candle vs AEMBR

The clearest difference is update cadence: AEMBR at every 2 weeks against Surf's Up Candle's every 5 months. AEMBR also leads on ratings volume (253 vs 34). Surf's Up Candle's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Surf's Up Candle against 4.9 for AEMBR. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AEMBR has 253 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two.
