# QVoice vs Step & Star

The clearest difference is rating: Step & Star at 5.0 against QVoice's 4.7. QVoice's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QVoice sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month and Step & Star sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step & Star holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QVoice has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

QVoice ships an update every 8 days, Step & Star monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
