# Chinese Begin vs Pinyin Learner

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Chinese Begin at 9.0 against Pinyin Learner's 15.1. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chinese Begin sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Pinyin Learner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
