# Device Settings vs Find Items

The clearest difference is rating: Find Items at 5.0 against Device Settings's 4.2. Find Items also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 weeks). Device Settings's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Device Settings sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Find Items sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Find Items holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Device Settings has 1.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Device Settings ships an update every 4 weeks, Find Items every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
