# Device Settings vs Remember Home

The clearest difference is rating: Remember Home at 5.0 against Device Settings's 4.1. Remember Home also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 weeks). Device Settings's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Device Settings sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Remember Home sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remember Home holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Device Settings has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Device Settings ships an update every 4 weeks, Remember Home every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
