# Sideshow vs Restore7 TV

The clearest difference is ads: Restore7 TV at none against Sideshow's shown. Restore7 TV also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). Sideshow's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 9 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Sideshow against 5.0 for Restore7 TV. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Restore7 TV has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sideshow ships an update every 3 weeks, Restore7 TV every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
