# Notebook vs JustNotes

The clearest difference is rating: JustNotes at 5.0 against Notebook's 2.9. JustNotes also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 11 months). Notebook's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

JustNotes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notebook has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Notebook ships an update every 11 months, JustNotes monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
