# PROTECT vs Xuron

The clearest difference is update cadence: Xuron at every 3 weeks against PROTECT's every 6 months. Xuron also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PROTECT ships an update every 6 months, Xuron every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
