# Outside vs Kounts

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Kounts at 100% against Outside's 52%. Kounts also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Outside's advantage is ratings volume (2.8K vs 8) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Outside sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Kounts sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kounts holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Outside has 2.8K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 52% of Outside's written reviews are positive against 100% of Kounts's.

Outside ships an update every 6 days, Kounts every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
