# Zeno vs Barbellr

The clearest difference is price: Zeno at Free against Barbellr's $0.99. Zeno also leads on ratings volume (362 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On rating, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Zeno is free to download; Barbellr costs $0.99 up front. Zeno sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Barbellr sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Barbellr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zeno has 362 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 94% of Zeno's written reviews are positive against 100% of Barbellr's.

Zeno ships an update every 3 weeks, Barbellr every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
