# Zeno vs Buffro

The clearest difference is monetization model: Buffro at free against Zeno's free with in-app purchases. Buffro also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zeno sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Buffro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Zeno against 4.8 for Buffro. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 281 and 237 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of Zeno's written reviews are positive against 100% of Buffro's.

Zeno ships an update every 3 weeks, Buffro every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
