# Temp Mail vs Text Number

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Temp Mail at 67% against Text Number's 39%. Temp Mail also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). Text Number's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (12K vs 560). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Temp Mail sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Text Number sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Text Number holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Text Number has 12K ratings behind it against 560, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Temp Mail's written reviews are positive against 39% of Text Number's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Temp Mail ships an update weekly, Text Number every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
