# Paycheck Maker vs Paystub Generator

The clearest difference is rating: Paystub Generator at 5.0 against Paycheck Maker's 1.0. Paystub Generator also leads on ratings volume (20 vs 1). Paycheck Maker's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paycheck Maker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Paystub Generator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paystub Generator holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paystub Generator has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Paycheck Maker ships an update every 10 days, Paystub Generator every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
