# CDL Wizard vs Pre

The clearest difference is price: CDL Wizard at Free against Pre's $4.99. CDL Wizard also leads on ratings volume (35 vs 1). Pre's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 weeks). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

CDL Wizard is free to download; Pre costs $4.99 up front. CDL Wizard sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Pre sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pre holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CDL Wizard has 35 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CDL Wizard ships an update every 4 weeks, Pre every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
