# Word Association ‧ vs Doublets

The clearest difference is update cadence: Word Association ‧ at every 4 weeks against Doublets's every 9 months. Word Association ‧ also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (92 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Word Association ‧ sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Doublets sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Word Association ‧ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Word Association ‧ has 92 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Word Association ‧ ships an update every 4 weeks, Doublets every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
