# PROBLOCK vs Independent dVPN

The clearest difference is update cadence: PROBLOCK at every 4 days against Independent dVPN's every 2 months. PROBLOCK also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PROBLOCK sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Independent dVPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PROBLOCK ships an update every 4 days, Independent dVPN every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
