# CheatVPN vs EdgeVPN

CheatVPN and EdgeVPN both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 62% of CheatVPN's written reviews are positive against 33% of EdgeVPN's. EdgeVPN's advantage is ratings volume (609 vs 97). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CheatVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and EdgeVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for CheatVPN against 4.6 for EdgeVPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EdgeVPN has 609 ratings behind it against 97, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 62% of CheatVPN's written reviews are positive against 33% of EdgeVPN's.

CheatVPN ships an update every 10 days, EdgeVPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
