# Clockwork vs BMI Calculator

The clearest difference is rating: Clockwork at 4.4 against BMI Calculator's 1.5. Clockwork also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (24 vs 2). BMI Calculator's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clockwork sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. BMI Calculator asks for nothing beyond the download.

Clockwork holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clockwork has 24 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Clockwork ships an update every 3 weeks, BMI Calculator every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
