# TinoSec vs Psync

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TinoSec at none against Psync's 17. TinoSec also leads on ratings volume (455 vs 23) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Psync's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.6). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Psync sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. TinoSec asks for nothing beyond the download.

Psync holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TinoSec has 455 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of TinoSec's written reviews are positive against 44% of Psync's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TinoSec ships an update fortnightly, Psync every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
