# WordSmart Stacker vs Word Blocks

The clearest difference is update cadence: WordSmart Stacker at fortnightly against Word Blocks's every 9 months. Word Blocks's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WordSmart Stacker sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Word Blocks sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WordSmart Stacker ships an update fortnightly, Word Blocks every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
