# U vs Dashla

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: U at none against Dashla's 3. U also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Dashla's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (20 vs 1). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dashla sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. U asks for nothing beyond the download.

U holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dashla has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

U ships an update every 3 weeks, Dashla every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
