# ShadowShare vs TOP VPN

The clearest difference is ads: TOP VPN at none against ShadowShare's shown. TOP VPN also leads on review sentiment (82% vs 60%) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 2 months). ShadowShare's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ShadowShare sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and TOP VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ShadowShare holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 371 and 1.2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of ShadowShare's written reviews are positive against 82% of TOP VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ShadowShare ships an update every 2 months, TOP VPN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
