# b4 vs RAiDAR

The clearest difference is rating: b4 at 4.2 against RAiDAR's 3.3. b4 also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and ratings volume (152 vs 7). RAiDAR's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 81%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. b4 sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and RAiDAR sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

b4 holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: b4 has 152 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of b4's written reviews are positive against 100% of RAiDAR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

b4 ships an update every 3 weeks, RAiDAR weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
