# Private VPN Proxy vs VPN Security

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Private VPN Proxy at 77% against VPN Security's 53%. Private VPN Proxy also leads on chart position (#115 vs unranked). VPN Security's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Private VPN Proxy sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and VPN Security sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN Security holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.1K and 1.2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Private VPN Proxy's written reviews are positive against 53% of VPN Security's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Private VPN Proxy ships an update monthly, VPN Security fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
