# Key vs CYCROWN

The clearest difference is rating: Key at 4.0 against CYCROWN's 1.2. CYCROWN's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (19 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Key holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 19 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Key's written reviews are positive against 8% of CYCROWN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Key ships an update every 6 months, CYCROWN monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
