# Chowit vs Bula Buddy

The clearest difference is rating: Bula Buddy at 5.0 against Chowit's 2.0. Bula Buddy also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 weeks). Chowit's advantage is ratings volume (42 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.2 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bula Buddy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chowit has 42 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Chowit ships an update every 6 weeks, Bula Buddy every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
