# Thrift Me! vs ThriftIt

Thrift Me! and ThriftIt both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ThriftIt's written reviews are positive against 50% of Thrift Me!'s. ThriftIt also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). Thrift Me!'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Thrift Me! against 5.0 for ThriftIt. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThriftIt has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Thrift Me!'s written reviews are positive against 100% of ThriftIt's.

Thrift Me! ships an update every 6 weeks, ThriftIt weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
