# ER Companion vs Deadclock

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Deadclock at 100% against ER Companion's 72%. Deadclock also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). ER Companion's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 5) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ER Companion sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Deadclock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Deadclock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ER Companion has 3K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of ER Companion's written reviews are positive against 100% of Deadclock's.

ER Companion ships an update every 3 weeks, Deadclock weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
