# Big Makeover vs Face Chart

Big Makeover and Face Chart both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 61% of Face Chart's written reviews are positive against 18% of Big Makeover's. Face Chart also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Big Makeover's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 20) and ratings volume (15K vs 772). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Face Chart sells 20 one-off in-app purchases. Big Makeover asks for nothing beyond the download.

Face Chart holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Big Makeover has 15K ratings behind it against 772, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 18% of Big Makeover's written reviews are positive against 61% of Face Chart's.

Big Makeover ships an update every 5 months, Face Chart every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
