# Planmore vs Journalli

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Journalli at none against Planmore's 4. Journalli also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Planmore's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Planmore sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Journalli asks for nothing beyond the download.

Journalli holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planmore has 5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Planmore ships an update every 3 weeks, Journalli fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
