# Planmore vs Genogram Creator

The clearest difference is monetization model: Planmore at free with in-app purchases against Genogram Creator's subscription. Planmore also leads on ratings volume (4.9K vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Genogram Creator's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Planmore sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Genogram Creator sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Genogram Creator holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planmore has 4.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Planmore ships an update monthly, Genogram Creator every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
