# Comrades vs Run Square App

The clearest difference is update cadence: Run Square App at every 2 weeks against Comrades's every 11 months. Comrades's advantage is ratings volume (55 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Comrades against 5.0 for Run Square App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Comrades has 55 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Comrades ships an update every 11 months, Run Square App every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
