# Poop Tracker vs Ploply

Poop Tracker and Ploply both sit at 3.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Ploply's written reviews are positive against 54% of Poop Tracker's. Ploply also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.5). Poop Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (63 vs 4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Poop Tracker sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Ploply sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.9 for Poop Tracker against 3.8 for Ploply. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Poop Tracker has 63 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of Poop Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ploply's.

Poop Tracker ships an update every 6 weeks, Ploply every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
