# Flying Cut vs Softris

The clearest difference is update cadence: Softris at weekly against Flying Cut's monthly. Flying Cut's advantage is ratings volume (29K vs 4.3K). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flying Cut sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Softris sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Flying Cut against 4.5 for Softris. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flying Cut has 29K ratings behind it against 4.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 23% and 23% positive.

Flying Cut ships an update monthly, Softris weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
