The clearest difference is price: ntPlayer at Free against AM3U Pro's $0.99. ntPlayer also leads on review sentiment (69% vs 44%). AM3U Pro's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

AM3U Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 83 and 163 respectively.
