# ntPlayer vs MiPlayer

The clearest difference is rating: MiPlayer at 5.0 against ntPlayer's 4.2. MiPlayer also leads on ads (none vs shown). ntPlayer's advantage is ratings volume (83 vs 1) and review sentiment (69% vs 59%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ntPlayer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MiPlayer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MiPlayer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ntPlayer has 83 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of ntPlayer's written reviews are positive against 59% of MiPlayer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ntPlayer ships an update every 8 days, MiPlayer weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
