# Secure Vault vs Safe Vault

The clearest difference is ads: Secure Vault at none against Safe Vault's shown. Secure Vault also leads on ratings volume (216 vs 4). Safe Vault's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 13 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure Vault sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Safe Vault sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Secure Vault against 4.3 for Safe Vault. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure Vault has 216 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Secure Vault ships an update every 13 months, Safe Vault every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
