# Status vs ShortFlow

The clearest difference is rating: Status at 5.0 against ShortFlow's 4.7. ShortFlow's advantage is ratings volume (196 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Status sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and ShortFlow sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Status holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ShortFlow has 196 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Status's written reviews are positive against 68% of ShortFlow's.

Status ships an update every 9 days, ShortFlow every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
