# archive vs Python Tests

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: archive at none against Python Tests's 1. Python Tests's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Python Tests sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. archive asks for nothing beyond the download.

archive ships an update every 2 months, Python Tests weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
